The cast of TVB comedy, With or Without You <東坡家事>, sacrificed spending the holidays with their loved ones in order to meet the filming deadline. Although the crew had to continue filming on Christmas, they maintained the holiday spirit and held a party in their ancient costumes. The cast also threw a surprise birthday party for fellow cast member, Harriet Yeung (楊詩敏), who turned 39 years old. The cast surprised Harriet with two birthday cakes and gifts immediately after her successful filming of an emotional scene. High on emotions even after the cameras stopped rolling, Harriet reacted to the surprise with both tears and laughter. “I was really touched! The card was even signed by the cast in calligraphy with a paint brush. It was very cute.” Joey Meng (萬綺雯) bought birthday cakes for Harriet. “Because the bakery is famous for their handmade pastries and is first-come-first-serve, they run out very quickly. Luckily, there were two left!” In addition to the special cakes, the cast also improvised and prepared cup noodles in lieu of longevity noodles for Harriet’s birthday. Jacqueline Wong (黃心穎) revealed that there was a cheerful and comfortable atmosphere on-set of the lighthearted comedy.
