The popular idol group, Wonder Girls, are preparing for their entry into the American market. For 24 hours a day, they have an English native speaker with whom they converse with on a regular basis. According to their JYPE representative, “In front of their American penetration in the middle of next year, the Wonder Girls members are living with an English native speaker and are fascinated with studying English discourse.” The girls are hoping to fulfill their dreams of being able to perform around the world - starting with the United States. Also, there is still a possibility that they will take on acting roles if offered, so they are studying hard with their live-in English tutor. On the JYP USA side, they said, “If they penetrate into the United States, even it is a little role, they have to be able to speak English well enough that they can act.” The management company has plans to create videos of the girls acting through English and sending the tapes to U.S. drama and movie companies. They added, “It is not easy to learn how to act in English. We hope to achieve a good effect.
