Hong Kong screenwriter Ella Chan (Chan Bo Wah) recently admitted that she was very satisfied with her decision to have Pakho Chau play the lead in her new TVB series, "Wonder Women". As reported on Mingpao, Ella, who sat down for an interview to promote the said drama recently, shared that she didn't actually know much about Pakho as an actor, that is until she watched his performance in the Hong Kong romantic movie, "77 Heartbreaks". "I thought he would be suitable for the role of Wing Ho Tin, who is drawn to this very dynamic woman in Lam Fei (Miriam Yeung) and learn to love and be responsible," she said. Although Pakho took some time to warm up to his character, Ella said that she realised how talented he was as soon as she saw his performance. On the other hand, when asked if she is confident about the drama's chance to win Best Series at the upcoming TVB Anniversary Awards, the screenwriter stated that she does not write dramas to win awards. "I wanted to contribute to Hong Kong dramas and make a series that the viewers will love. This is more important than winning awards," she said. credits: yahoo.sg
