I'm confused...are they worshipping the penis or castration (lookit how its chopped off :O)? Because if they declare the wrong national holiday I think tourism may suffer...
The Penis Festival. LOL, this remembers me of last year when the guide warned us with a serious face of a certain part of a museum in Japan (Nara?, forgotten it) especially the females should stay out of that part of the museum if they don't want to get nightmares. We kept asking what it was and he refused to say anything and the more curious we got. Turns out it was a huge collection of phalusses and one giant wooden one. (didn't take pictures of it as they were all behind glass)
