Since marrying Hawick Lau (劉愷威) and giving birth to their baby daughter, several reports suggested that Yang Mi (楊冪) posed as a difficult daughter-in-law. Having spent the first month of her postpartum recovery under the same roof as Hawick’s parents, Yang Mi was allegedly dictating and arrogant, resulting in numerous conflicts.

When Yang Mi had her wedding with Hawick in Bali, Indonesia, there were already rumors that she did not get along with her in-laws. After one month of living with them in the Shatin district, she reportedly wanted to move out. Soon enough, the couple later relocated to a flat in Kowloon City, which is approximated to be worth $60 million HKD.

Although Hawick denied the family conflicts, it was said that Yang Mi’s differences with her in-laws became unbearable. According to tabloids, she always needed to have things her way. Hawick’s parents reportedly endured her behavior only because of their son and granddaughter.

    Hawick’s Mother Acts as Nanny?

Last Monday, reporters spotted Yang Mi and Hawick in Kowloon City, ordering a cake for their baby daughter in time to celebrate her two-month arrival. In a white dress, Yang Mi browsed through a bakery with her husband by her side. Meanwhile, Hawick’s mother was spotted shopping for groceries and diapers. Carrying two bags all by herself, she seemed like a nanny instead.
