    went to see an exebition of some of his work today, in theHague, itw as really cool. :)
    he build little houses, kids size doors, and inside there were paintings and installations, a room covered with furry stuffed animals, and between the houses were walkways, and then more rooms and small doors...

    I saw a mini-exhibition of contemporary Japanese graphic artists and Nara was one of the featured artists (others include Murakami and Echizenya)

    Nara's work is surreal both in his style and his subject. I remember reading a review of his work, describing his paintings as "demonic little girls". I found it (the expression, not the paintings) extremely adorable -^_^

    yea, the pics I posted are rather demonic I guess but there were allso a lot that were ever so cute and sweet. :)
    and theres some comments on the paintings like no nukes and peace and stop war. I like him a lot.
