Just read this. I am not surprised by the action taken for giving a stranger a ride; however, I am shocked at the age of these kidnappers. Kids this age should be the most innocent. These kids are like the devil and what they did only resulted in some charges and jail time. I say ... lock them up for life in the mental institution. They're not stable to live in society .. so insensitive .. just a matter time before they go on the shooting spree.

Locking them up in a mental institute will be the cause of them going in a shooting spree

Well, let's be fair. Not all the youth of today are messed up. But some of them do have problems.

  4. Lol I'm trying to figure out something.. It is unfortunate what happened, but what's different with the "youth today" and "youth from the past"? I'm pretty sure the only reason we're flipping buckets is because media made us aware of stupid shit youths do today. They still did stupid shit in the past. Furthermore, these teens are outliers of society, why are we so quick to use outliers to represent an entire society?

The above was from the original post's link. In a nutshell, at the point in which she still had full control of the situation, she chose poorly. Of course, the two hoods only took advantage, I get that. However, the problem here is that this woman's kindness blinded her to the inherent danger of picking up two complete strangers who obviously, could easily overpower her once they were in her car. Her lack of judgment almost cost her, her life.

Giving a ride to some strangers is risky and somewhat stupid. In fact, I find it fair if she did die in this type of situation as a consequence to her lacked of judgment.

For me though, it was hard to fathom how these teens could be so insensitive and coldblooded to treat an old lady like that .. just wrong. I am sure there are many similar cases out there that probably go unnoticed. One teen may be crazy but several girls tagged along with it .. unless all five girls are wackos .. it's a pattern here .. what could have triggered such behaviors. I don't think locking behind bar is going to help these kids .. mental counseling is what gonna help them in the long run.

  8. I personally don't think it's ever fair when a life is lost, criminal, stupid, accidental or not. A life lost should still be a sad event. Maybe that's why I don't believe in capital punishment lol.

Anyway, I'm just curious, why is it hard to fathom the shit people do? I mean, it's not as if these unfortunate things have started happening recently lol.

  9. imo : capital punishment shouldn't be allowed cuz there are always innocent people being released

While my post is not about capital punishment, I think it should be in place. Out of 1000s of inmates on death row, there are only a handful who might be innocent or being pardoned by elected officials. I sympathized for those wrongly accused and their families; however, being compassionate to the majority inhuman criminals would only drain our tax dollars and/or possibly create more tragedies if they escaped or pardoned. There are so many crazy people out there these days that I highly doubt medicinal advances would be helpful.

  11. It's that easy to say "hey we're losing our tax dollars on sustaining their lives, instead of just killing them off", huh. Talk about modern day barbarism, uncivil, self-centered, self-righteousness and absolutely lazy. So instead of trying to find innovative solutions to a problem, you resort to barbarism to solve your issues because you're afraid to lose a bit of money to try and find a better alternative.

And don't tell me alternatives don't exist. Norway, for example, has a rehabilitation program for its prisoners, that shapes the prisoners into productive members of their society. The return on investment on a productive former-criminal is much higher than the money you're lose to manage the funerals of those who died via capital punishment.

Countries who are against capital punishments are sure to have similar rehabilitation programs, so it's not as if we're just spoon feeding them just because we're "compassionate". No sane business or government would waste money down the drain for "compassion". They are trying to transform them into productive members of society.

I'm embarrassed for and truly pity those who have that particular mindset.

Rehabilitation? We are talking about murderers. Can you give me hardcore evidence that guarantee rehab would do justice to the deceases and absolutely transform these convicts back to normal law abiding citizen life? Barbaric?? Comparing to those victims whom were savagely beaten, stabbed, and killed; these criminals are in fact dying in a dignified way.

For those who have chosen to kill, I see no reason why we have to waste our tax dollars on them. No, unlike those reports out there, capital punishment actually cost less than to feed and shelter them for a lifetime. It costs more in the US because of people like you trying to stall the judicial process. If you're so righteous, then perhaps you should donate all your money to rehab those criminals. Frankly, death is the most compassionate resolve to these criminals (instead of the mental torment if s/he has any remorse) as well as closure to the victims' families.

I can tell you straight up that even with a small misdemeanor charge on your record, the chance of being hired by any employer will drop 95%. The liability is huge - towards your staff and clients. That's just the reality.

Well to begin with i guess with billions of people some are bound to be shun from society causing misbehavior. Life today can be pretty cruel to be honest. Who knows what this poor people r put through before doing this. Unfortunately crazy things are happening daily.
