I realized that zone alarm slows down my bitcomet, when its off a download is downloading at 156 kb/s then i turn it on and it goes down to about 10 kb/s with the health still remaining the same

haha...i should have seen that he posted that in his first post...haha....
reported that Zone Alarm 5.0 conflict with BitComet (and other p2p maybe)
try anther torrent client and see what happens....such as utorrent or bitlord...

hmm, I have experimented. I shutdown zonealarm, turn on bitcomet and the download speed begins to increase. I turn on zonealarm, and the speed goes to 79-65-43-41-21-12-------ZERO, then it stays at zero. So I know the problem is ZONE ALARM.

oh nvm, i found out whats the problem. Bit Comet has to be opened after Zone Alarm, if its the other way other around, it wont work

man ur fucked...haaa...zonealarm should be configured to start when ur pc boots up...then it will allow u to control program access to the net....have alarm start when u boot up with ur pc..it'll be alot easier...

    good man...

  18. I think zone alarm is pretty damn useless... used it awhile back and it was jus too much of a hassle. Firewalls don't work as good as they should.

buddy..u know wat ur saying...firewall is essential today g...but hey..if ur system works well without one...keep rockin that..

  20. I guess I just never saw the point... but hey I am the one with the screwy comp. lol. It's hard though cuz I don't really have all that extra memory to run everything I want.
