i cant read/write chinese..so even if i wanted to..i couldnt the only way to do it is typing out the english pronounciation which i do sometimes lol
I use pinyin but my Chinese isn't very good >.< I'm better at listening to Cantonese than typing out the characters, but if I need to I use NJStar, I've learnt so many new words from that lol
go get a dictionary English to Chinese, vice versa. it helps me when i search tvb series online. plus finding stuff with it is so much faster then trying to guest.
Cangjie is combining radicals together to type out the character, in which each key on the keyboard represents a certain radical. Lots of people in HK use the simplified cangjie in which only the first and last radicals are considered, rather than all radicals.
I used to use zhuyin, but switched over to pinyin. It's much faster since you don't have to relearn any key positions
i am using njstar pinyin to type chinese....it's pretty good =) but sometimes if i dont know how the characters look like (my chinese is pretty poor >.<) then i will translate it
I use NJStar. I set it up to as the Canton method. Basically just typing words out that way. Most of the time I start out with 2-3 letters then I browse it.
I never figure out how to do the whole pinyin thing =_=b or didn't bother to learn, i use Simplified Cangjie (just the first stroke and last stroke type). At least I have some idea what I am typing.
I type with pinyin.. but my new com can only type one word at a time.. and that suks.. so I avoid typing in chinese.
Isn't typing in Chinese more difficult than a Western language? I sometimes see how an Auntie of mine typing in Chinese (in HK) and it takes quite a lot of time to finish a sentence?
