Hmmmm... Never? JKS. If she likes him enough. We are lazy sometimes... Plus, if she doesn't think he may be interested, she will not make a move (which may make a fool of herself).
Depends on how nice the girl is. But my answer is NO. Because there's no point in wasting both his time and mine if I am not interested (and going out with a guy just so I won't hurt his feeling pretty much equates "not interested" to me).
Be direct. That's the best way. Girls don't really like to play the guessing game. And a guy who can't confess to a girl his feelings is deemed a coward I don't recall having made any first move... hm. Maybe never... like hiake said. Lol. But it depends, some girls are pretty bold nowadays. Not that I am a coward or anything. Just that I have too much dignity and I am vain. Not me, I won't do that.

Depends on how aggressive he is about his feelings. If he goes "relationship or else", I will just sever whatever friendship I have with him. Otherwise, let's just be friends... -whistle
This happened to me before. I can still be the 'same' friend to that guy, but I doubt the guy can handle the rejection that well hehe. There are bound to be some uneasiness after the 'confession'. -rolleyes
Fortunately for me, I had this happen to me at a very very early age, and I was extremely close to him and his family, so since we were young and I did not know as much as I do now we were still really close and remained best friends all the way till high school. However, now that I am a little older, my character has changed followed with my personality and since then I had other friends like me and I really do not care as long as the other party does not try anything with me I'm fine with staying the way things are. BUT!! guys get emotional just as much as girls, so eventually they will get jealous and act in a way that is not acceptable for me and I'd have to eventually end the friendship.
