well... my ex... let a girl driving his car... she had an accident with it... but he hadn't asked for 1 penny... sooo.... good people there are... don't be so black and white! you just should "daai yaw sik ngaan geng" (wear coloured glasses) when meeting people ^^
^so you mean dont be a racist? xP nah.. but Dutch people aint that retarded compared with USA people they can sue someone for rescueing them =.=
Anyone in your car can potentially sue you. This is a rather recent case about a good Samaritan being sued in high court and the court actually sided with the plaintiff .. how sad is that .. http://abcnews.go.com/TheLaw/story?id=6498405&page=1 http://www.aedadvocates.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=3117&an=7&PHPSESSID=c0ef848a
OMG no!!! I was saying you have to learn who you should help or not... who you could be friends with etc.
^ i think friendship is something that comes naturally but there are people out there who just don't cherish that and you can't tell right off front. for me, i think it's better to be straight forward about things .. embarrassed ...yes .. nowadays .. you just never know.
Well.. bf/gf then? That was the first question anywayszz... And friends? I dunno Jelly... but dun think I like you as friend xD Friendship is helping each other, if that means you have to give some1 a ride (once in a while), then.... why not?!
That is just so damm crazy. I have never had it happen to me or my friends. fact I never heard of it before til now. Stupid to sue your own BF, especially if it wasn't really his fault!
things are just waiting to happen and when it does make sure its not your fault so if anyone sues u..u can sue the person at fault for more ;]
wtf, if they're the one that decides to get a ride in your car aren't they at fault for trusting you, why the hell should you get sued.
why .. are you considered doing it too? i haven't gotten a full page yet .. i don't give rides much these days cuz of my past incidence and I stayed very late at work.
my god what's this world coming to? giving someone a lift is just a matter of courtesy... it shouldn't be your liability if they are hurt while in your car... all this unnecessary litigation gives lawyers bad names...
i should totally do this... cover my ass if anything happens..... just place a stack in my car... and have them sign it once.... store it in a fireproof safe for as long as i can drive...
it never occured to me to have a waiver for liability for people that I gave rides to in my car. But OMG i cant believe the cheek of some people to actually sue the drivers who have offered them a lift. will definately give a second thought about it next time i offer a lift.
yes, i would make my gf sign a liablity form just in case anything happens. Who knows girls may stick by u because u have money.
