I only use the DVD format and batch mode, then use NERO 7 to create 4 episodes per DVD (with menu selection), output to the hard disk, then use DVDCOpy 2 to burn the DVD.
If I was you, I will only use the DVD, VCD or SVCD output format in WinAVI because I can then use NERO Express Videos/Pictures option to burn VCD, SVCD or DVD-Video.

  2. okay i have the 6.2 one nd it has a popup on the video saying winavi video converter nd if i want to remove it i have to pay..

    try using dvdsanta
    download it on www.dvdsanta.com
i use it to convert all my rmvb files and it works great.
the program even allows you to burn the file into dvd format
another thing i like about this program that it says "if you want to burn the file there will be a huge DEMO watermark on the file" but when you do burn it the watermark goes away after 1 minute so you can actually enjoy the movie without the annoying watermark!!!

    hope this helps!!!

I think you need to demux or demultiplex the file using virturdub or tmpgenc. You can then use nero vision to add the video than add the separate tracks of audio in editing. If both languages are in the same stero track (left and right) you would also need to separate the left and right track into different audio files using nero wave editor.

total video convertor, the old verison , such as 2.5. its the most easiest program ever used. there are sometimes the files won't be able to convert, but if i can convert, the output is really nice and clear.

I find the one of best converters is ConvertXtoDVD. It accepts nearly every file format and converts to DVD

I use ConvertXDVD, great program, easy to use and haven't had any trouble. Converts to DVD format to be watched on tv and such.

Hi I really hope this thread is still activating. I have been converting rmvb with winavi 9 to DVD with no problems at all, however with this particular one:

    TVB Instinct:
    Episode 28 : http://www.megaupload.com/?d=M700PBJF from this page http://www.dramasian.com/forum/showthread.php?t=21286&highlight=instinct

Anyway, when I convert with Winavi it only converts 36 minutes of the video but, the whole video is suppose to be 45 minutes. No matter how many times I do it, it remains to only convert 36 minutes of it.

I tried using the SUPER converter but, the problem is out of sync. SUPER can convert the whole video but out of whack and I have tried changing the SUPER settings so many times but, no use. Perhaps someone may know the proper settings on SUPER for converting rmvb to DVD or rmvb to MPEGII. I would be grateful if someone can tell me. Or why winavi 9 only converts part of this video. Could it be the video's problem.

I have attached the video data for anyone to have a look at it.

    Thanks

I use Tmpgenc Xpress 4.0... What so good about it? it is the quality, not quantity.

i actually use winavi mp4 converter for most of my stuff which i like to put on my iphone and it is by far the fastest one. There are others that i have tried like SUPER, Ultra RMVB converter, Total video converter, but really the fastest would be WInavi MP4

Winavi looks like it's for PC users. What do you Mac users use?

ffmpegX with the Real codec should do it.

    http://appleclinic.wordpress.com/2008/04/21/convert-rmvb-avi-ppc-intel/

Those are instructions for converting rmvb to avi, but ffmpegX can export to DVD too. If you run into problems, try renaming your .rmvb file to .rm instead.
