no that boy is prob 13, looks to be slightly younger but people vary in what they look like especially as kids. anyway this is so messed up, that boy doesn't even understand responsibility yet, he wants the baby cos it is like a little brother or sister but he is no where near mature enough to actually look after it and support it. i guess thats what the parents will do and he will just prob end up treating it like a younger brother.

Yeah, the boy claims he will be a good father to his baby and will take care of the child, but it's doubtful that he understands the full extent of responsibility that will be thrust upon him. And obviously, he doesn't understand the financial burdens that he will have to deal with, let alone understand what it even means by financial responsibility. Sure, he can act like a big brother to his daughter, but hell... at this age, he would never be able to understand what it's like to be a real parent. Nor would the girl... In the end, the baby's grandparents will be the ones to care for her in the long run, at least, for another decade or more to come.
GOOD lord...what is wrong with people now adays......they think taking care of a baby is cake...i think we should start sex ed earlier in school and also basic economics in middle school so people understand the value of money and how much it things cost
jeez, whats going on this world nowadays?i think their life ahead will be a easy one, so much responsibility but i gues if their family and friends support them, they might survive

It is shocking to hear a boy becomes a father at 13, i hope he does not resent his child in later years. it is hard enough financially these days even for an adult to bring up a child. good luck to him!
im kinda thinking along the lines of ralphrepo. i read an article in the paper about this and the father of the boy/grandfather was trying to get as much money out of the story, and he was trying to sell the story all over the UK. Therefore i think it mite be the dad of the boy/grandfather who is the actual father of the kid. But because what he did was illegal he gets his son to take the blame and bribes the girl with money.

Doe it happen in the cultures of the far east? I'm not sure. However, it has happened and parents of the future take note. When I was that young, I was climbing trees and splashing water at friends near a waterfall near our homes.Life was blissful and care free then!
i've read somewhere in the newspaper that 2 kids came forward and claimed to be the father. the 13 year old boy said he was her only boyfriend so he has to be the father. but that doesnt mean she couldnt possibly be sleeping around though >.<
