o ofcourse, in the NBA it's a must to have a dominant big man to be truly competetive... I'd take one over a international shooter any day... but we still can't take the history of international big men into persepective as of yet since it's only been 10 years since Dirk arrived and even for him, it took 6+ years to get anywhere... Yao still has to deal with the McGrady curse and Gasol just now got out of his hell hole...

Monta Ellis (37 points, 18-for-27 from the floor) and Baron Davis (27 points, 12-for-23) led the Warriors to a 120-118 win against Phoenix. Ellis and Davis are the only starting backcourt in the NBA to each score at least 25 points in a game this season in which they each had at least 23 field-goal attempts, and they've done it twice (also Nov. 26 vs. Portland). Only one starting backcourt had done that in a regulation NBA game during any of the previous four seasons (Washington's Larry Hughes and Gilbert Arenas, Mar. 29, 2004).

But lets not forget about Ginobili's 8 3s last night, that dude was on fire. Manu Ginobili scored 46 points as the Spurs completed their nine-game road trip by defeating Cleveland. Ginobili posted per-game averages of 24.7 points, 6.1 rebounds and 6.2 assists over that span to become the first player in NBA history to average at least 24 points, six rebounds and six assists during a road trip of at least nine games.
