^ No he didn't he even said himself this was blown out of proportion. The hate for Kessel is atrocious and disgusting. No wonder he's been playing like shit. Torontonians like you who think that way are running him out of town like villagers do to Frankenstein. The fact that you can't see that Kessel has been putting in 20 goals with TWO GARBAGE plays is eclipsed by your incessant obsession that we lost 2 firsts and a second. Yes it was expensive, but how the hell is he matching up with Ovechkin, who plays with two NHL top offensive players? How is Ovechkin not being hated then? He's the biggest god damn troll in the NHL at that. If there's anyone you should hate, it's Ron Wilson, for setting up his players to get ripped to shreds in this fucked up market called Toronto. First Kadri, then Gustavsson, recently Reimer, now Kessel. If Mats Sundin was still playing, Ron Wilson would probably put him on the fourth line with Orr and Brown if Sundin went 10 games without a goal. I was coming here to post a note about how the Devils are making a huge come back, but this fucking Kessel hate is just repulsive. Yes I may be bias for Kessel, but if this had happened to, say, Bobby Ryan or something, it's all the same. Makes me want to turn back to my childhood team instead.
Just watched the post-game clips.. It showed the Kessel clips that "things aren't working, and needs a change".. he confirmed its not working out right now, like lineups.. not the team. Then it showed a clip saying that he was saying something like "no, i didn't mean a trade. i love toronto. I'm talking about lineups". Something like that
The sight of people saying shit along the lines of "Someone pack his bags before he changes his mind" is disturbing. The fact that people are still butthurt over a god damn trade that occurred 2 years ago is so fucked up.. blame burke, he could have had kessel over an offer sheet, instead of two picks. why the fuck are people hating on kessel to get back at burke and wilson?
Kessel is struggling.. everyone hates on him. Look at Bargnani. He struggles almost for most of the season. Out of 10 games, maybe 1 or 2 games he can shoot well. + he doesn't grab rebounds. But no one hates on him. -shrug
Just stop being a douche man you don't see us hating on the raptors so why are you continuing? Hate them all you want, just stop whining about burkie fail and kessel not scoring -___- is that a lot to ask?
I don't even think he's serious, being that he calls kessel "my boy". I'm just advocating for the guy, seeing that the entire city is up his ass, that doesn't mean he's "my boy" anyways, fuck this shit I'm just gonna watch the Devils coming from bottom of the league to kicking some leafs ass and rank higher. That would be a true comeback.

Hm.. i dont know these players well.. so wanna give me a brief summary of each player? I would like to see how the leafs turn out with this trade. & why not put lebda on the waivers as well?
Lupul was drafted by the Ducks back in 2002, 7th overall. He has been a great player during his first few years in the NHL, however he's been declining as of late. Gardiner's our prize here, he's a potential top 2 defence man. Drafted in 2008 17th overall, by the Ducks. Read Mackenzie's columun on Gardiner: http://www.tsn.ca/columnists/bob_mckenzie/?id=353114
lupul use to be good few seasons back..leafs hoping he get his touch back. gardiner prospect which is the gem in this trade decent trade... considering we traded beauchamin lol surprised leafs got that much back for him trade wont make them better right now but prospects are always good for the future.
after reading it.. i think Leafs did get more than what Beauch is actually worth i didn't really expect a trade today
