i like the solomon alabi move by BC. even though the price was sort of high (future second AND cash considerations), alabi has first round potential. he's a project for sure, but it'll be interesting to see how he pans out at 7'1.

clippers also seem liek big winners this year. AFA slipped to them at 8 and he fills their hole at SF. he can't make a jumper to save his life, but he'll storm the boards and be a defensive presence. willie warren at 54 is a steal and he has roots with BG. but the move i loved the most was the bledsoe acquisition from the thunder. this year's PG crop was weak, but bledsoe was still the second rated PG behind wall.

I honestly have never heard of Ed Davis, or his father before. Sooo, Raptors are gonna be rebuiling this season.

This just in... Lebron James has signed with the Chicago Bulls and the club is also close to signing All-Star power forward Amare Stoudemire.

Haha ya, just thought I would mess with people. There are tons of articles about fee agency and Lebron, so might as well have fun with it :p

Question: Who do you guys think would be the best free agents for teams like NY, NJ, Chicago, and basically every other team with cap space to sign if they can't sign a Wade or James?

Of course the next option would be Bosh. He's probably the most valuable free agent on the market other than Wade and James. Then there's Joe Johnson, Carlos Boozer, Amare, Ray Allen, Rudy Gay, and a couple other free agents out there. Personally I think whoever doesn't get Lebron will have failed this off season, just because of the amount of effort each team has put into freeing up cap space. Some trades during the season were just utterly stupid and pointless, and most of them will never be justified unless the team manages to sign a top all star in Wade or James, maybe even Bosh.

But for teams like Chicago, picking up a Joe Johnson or Amare Stoudimire might not be a bad deal since they actually have a core there. New York on the other hand... Could be royally screwed for the next couple years cause of this.

  8. who ever goes to NY will be losing ...the attracting teams are bulls and nets or even miami they are unloading the most they can so they can at least sign 2 top players read somewhere they want bron, wade and bosh that would be crazy.
also dirk is a FA this summer too...good player under the radar

the only attracting teams to me are the bulls and clippers. like the bulls, the clippers have a great young core to build around. chicago is definitely more appealing, but the clippers have more of a complete team to offer with their depth at multiple positions (PG, SG, PF, C). the nets are interesting because of prokhorov and it does seem like he's willing to spend A LOT.

miami is in position to sign 2 other max FA IN ADDITION to wade and they'll have a core of chalmers and beasley, BUT that's about all they'll have. sure throw in 3 superstars and they have the best starting lineup in the nba. however, to fill out the rest of their roster, they'll have to sign people using the league minimum so outside of the heat's starting lineup, they will have a WEAKKKKKKK roster.

lol it seems you guys agree that New York is crap.

I just have a feeling that Lebron is going to go to either New Jersey or Chicago. Don't think he'll be winning with Clevelend anytime soon. If you think about it, the Cavs don't have a supporting member for Lebron. They tried Shaq and Jaminson, but it didn't work out. Sure Shaq was a good role player, but I think he didn't provide what was initially expected of him and neither did Jaminson. Playing along side Derrick Rose, or Devin Harris seems like the best choice. Both are certified all stars, even though Harris underperformed last season (but honestly the whole team was just terrible anyways). Not to mention both are young and can guide their teams to success for many years to come if Lebron were ever to join them.

One superstar is never enough to win a championship. Look at the Lakers. They have Kobe, who is a top tier super star and then they have Pau Gasol, who might not be top tier, but he's still pretty damn good. The Spurs had Tim Duncan with Manu and Parker. The Celtics have Pierce and Rondo. If I was Lebron I would defiantly go to either Chicago or New Jersey. Not including the Clippers cause I'm kind of a Clippers hater :p

And what's with Johnson wanting a max contract? He's probably gonna get it though, cause there will be disappointed teams willing to offer him the money. But it would be a real waste =\

  11. superdav is just a homer...
haha aint no one wanna sign with the clipps they got a badddd rep around the league. the raptors look more attractive right now to FA's. :shifty:

not if wizards got money but they got a nice young team that can attract FA's too.

Arenas , Wall, Blatche(stud) add wade or bron to the squad looks ownage-inlove

Lol I don't think they can afford any superstars. Arenas has a huge contract that is penetrating the Wizards organization from behind harder and harder everyday. And not to mention they just picked up Hinrich's contract to LOL.

haha, clippers, the team that's always overshadowed by the lakers...who stupid enough to go there...

For me, either the knicks or nets will work for me...but the knicks have so many issues, where to begin...lol. At least the nets have a few players that seem decent even with their crappy season.

But the bulls have a great chance too, since they have more cap now. It's just that will Jordon's godly image be too much for him.

Cavs are doing a lot to try to keep him but it's nothing amazing.

lol i might be a little biased, but realistically, the clippers do have a good core. their stigma just coems from playing second-fiddle to the lakers and from their "curse". you gotta admit plugging in a superstar into a lineup of b-diddy, gordon, griffin, and kaman makes the clippers not only relevant, but legitimate contenders for the championship.

the cavs have absolutely nothing to offer james outside of being his home and even james didn't say ohio is his home, only mentioning akron.

  15. still havent seen blake griff play in the nba yet maybe he'll be a injury prone player like Oden? kind of similar how their pro careers started injured in preseason -lol

as for b. davis he's not someone i would like running my offence...he's for sure a score first PG.

NBA insiders say bron and bosh are for sure signing onto the same team ....still don't know which. bulls or the heats.

bulls will look mighty dangerous with them two.

bosh and james are both likely to leave. i see dwade staying in miami with some top FA joining him but i doubt bosh or james will go to the heat. i'm not really sure about the bosh and james signing on the same team thing, but that's just me.

if i was a betting man, i would bet my money on amare being the one to join wade in miami.
