You have two scorers on your backcourt, and now you are undersized as well. Monta is defiantly not a defensive stud either. I just don't see two high volume shooters working out at the 1 and 2 for the Bucks. If they figure it out then they'll have a very good chance at knocking New York off, since their team is a huge mess right now. I was expecting Jennings to be moved by the Bucks as well, but looks like they're sticking with this unit for the playoff push. I like the Wiz finally dealing McGee and Young. Both were obviously not working out and Nene is a solid return for McGee. However he has about 4 years left and it's a big contract. McGee might be able to work in Denver with his athleticism, but only if he can figure it out... Karl has experience with big ego, or a better word would be just stupid players.
honestly... undersized is pretty much a misnomer for the backcourt... in the case of this backcourt it's more about quickness and ball handling than anything... yes sure, if you were 6'9" over a 6'2" point ok i get it... but an inch or two in the backcourt is nothing if you can score like these 2... i mean seriously plenty of guards out there that are "undersized"... cp3, rondo, parker, felton, flash, jet, eric gordon, even arenas when he was good... i'll give u the defensive deficiencies, but since when did the bucks good d? -_-
Defence is basically the staple to Skiles' system. That's how they made it to the playoffs with one of the worst offences in the league. Which is why I like the pick up of Udoh. He's shown promise as a defensive big man and can work well in the Bucks system. The only problem I have with Monta is having him on the same time as Jennings. I'm not a big fan of having two high volume shooters at both your guards.
I saw that with Skiles' system with the bulls... but lets be honest... his Bucks don't play d nearly as well as the "baby" Bulls... and you forget the havoc two high paced guards can do on d during transition... i'll bring you back to Monta + Baron a la '06/7 Warriors in any case... there's nothing wrong with 2 high volume shooting guards... it's the same as a guard and a high volume 3... the whole point is just to stretch the floor and let someone penetrate... i mean it makes perfect sense with Delfino/Dunleavy there to sit on the perimeter as well... + Monta actually has a jumper, unlike brick Jennings...
Spurs gonna win the playoffs just because there is no such word as "threat(s)" to them...end of story....
East Bulls in 5 Heat in 5 Pacers in 4 Celtics in 6 West Spurs in 5 OKC in 6 Lakers in 6 Grizzlies in 7 Hardest to pick was the Grizzlies. I'm confident that Memphis will win the series, but had a lot of trouble with the number of games. I wanted to say 6, but had to go with 5 or 7 just cause Memphis is a bad road team. Can't wait for the playoffs to start! The only bad thing is that I live in Canada where TSN sucks, and a lot of the games are not broadcasted on readily available channels. Sometimes I wish we weren't so one-dimensional with sports.
Bulls-76ers= Bulls Celtics-Hawks= Celtics Pacers-Magic=Pacers Heat-Knicks= Heat Spurs-Jazz= Spurs Grizzlies-Clippers= Clippers Lakers-Nuggets= Lakers Thunder-Mavs= Thunder Can't really predict the scores but well those are my picks for the playoffs. The most attractive game for me will be Heat-Knicks and Thunder-Mavs. I wanted a different matchup for the Knicks but well can't do anything about it. And i think the Clippers are gonna be able to take down Memphis.
The Clippers one-dimensional offense is really going to show in a 7 game series against the same team. I have zero confidence in Del Negro's coaching ability to adapt to Memphis' defensive reactions. He's shown this whole season and when he was with the Bulls that his offense lacks variety and is extremely predictable. The only way this will go past 5 games is because of Chris Paul.
You´re probably right, but I believe that CP3 can do it...I still believe that he´s the best PG in the NBA, some will say no but well for me he is. That´s why i think the Clippers have a shot. http://blogs.thescore.com/tbj/2012/04/27/video-chinas-mind-blowing-nba-playoffs-commercial/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+TheBasketballJones+%28The+Basketball+Jones%29&utm_content=FaceBook That´s an interesting ad for the playoffs in China lol.
It's really hard to bet against CP3. Especially after watching that amazing performance last year against the Lakers with a poor Hornets team. This series could go to the Clippers just because of him, and I wouldn't be surprised. But for him to carry them to 4 games is a stretch, even for him. Who knows though, it might happen. That's why I love the playoffs
well, all i kno is that the knicks are DONE....they'll be missing most of the PGs and their top players.... Lucky for the HEats; all they need to put out are the bench players to finish off the knicks and keep their starting lineups for the next...
Lol that was a hell of a comeback...well but the grizzlies tied the series, it's gonna be a tough one to predict. I was expecting the Thunder-Mavs series to be closer, even though their were close games it's pretty clear that the Thunder will get this one. The Spurs are playing incredibly good!
