lmao, i didn't think it was possible for a nba owner to be worse than donald sterling. you've really outdone yourself now stern.
What. The. Fuck. Honestly, I don't even know what to say anymore. I'm losing hope in the future of the NBA.
this is getting stupid... to be fair... eric gordon + Kaman and even + bledsoe for CP3 is a fair trade... but not gordon+kaman+bledsoe+aminu+minny's 1st... -.-;
clips back out of CP3 trade talks and surprise the league by placing winning bid on chauncey billups! wow what a steal for the clippers (assuming billups reports, which i am sure he will).
C - Jordan PF - Griffin SF - Butler SG - Gordon PG - Billups Bench - Aminui, Bledsoe, Williams Looks like a playoff team to me. Will have to wait and see. EDIT: Kamen also coming off the bench for now. Forgot they had him with all this trade talk. =\
Nah, why would they pay 10mil+ for kaman to come off the bench? The logical step would be to deal him away. His expiring contract would be great for teams looking to splash in 2011-2012 free agency. That team u list r not too different from the one on show for the past season, and yet, the clips still ended it with a losing record. Hard to make it to the playoff in the west. without a winning record.
Pretty sure they want to deal Kamen, but if they can't he'd be a pretty good back up for now. The thing about this line up is the youth and addition of Billups and Butler. You had Bledsoe/Mo running the point most of the time last year and let's face it, they're not that great. Butler is a great 2nd-3rd scoring option depending on what's needed from him on a nightly basis. Griffen/Jordan/Gordon are the young big three for the clipps right now. Kind of gives you memories of the Durant/Green/Westbrook days when OKC sucked as well. The point I'm making is yes, they added only 2 players who are not superstars, or top 10 players, but you can't forget the team is young. They have a lot of room to improve and they could surprise everyone like OKC did with their first playoff appearance. This team right now is borderline playoff calibre. EDIT: Reassessing the western conference. They are a lock for a playoff spot. Hard to say if it was the right move. Jordan is a raw athlete and can grow to become a defensive force. He's also a good compliment to Blake Griffin, not to mention they're supposedly best friends, which obviously must have been taken into account when deciding to offer him 40 mill or not. Clipps needed to keep Jordan IMO, he has a lot of potential and it might have been a devastating long term decision to let him walk, but 40 mill? That might be a little too high for a guy who hasn't proved anything yet. I'm conflicted with the decision, but if they couldn't acquire any of the other big men through trades or free agency (Chandler, Nene, West, Gasol) then I can see their reasoning in matching Warriors to keep a possible top centre.
Arenas is i believe already being waived. Jeremy Lin is Waived by the warriors.... But ow WAUW Dallas is up and strong losing Chandler and Barea but did you guys see what they get in return Odom and Vince Carter common who is not excited to see that in a championship team... CP3 probably is frustrated by the situation Lakers after that failed attempt to attract cp3 loses Odom because he was not happy with him being traded without knowing.... But i am excited about this season WAUW....
Lin got picked up by Houston. Doubt he'll get playing time on that roster. Dragic, Lowry, Flynn all ahead of him. Rockets are looking to deal Dragic most likely, so he'll be the third stringer.
IMO, deandre isnt worth anything over $8 million a year. but in this particular case, the clippers had to match. you can't give griffin the impression that you're not willing to spend and it certainly doesn't hurt when deandre jordan is blake griffin's best friend on the team.
Uhm about 5 years from now....... maybe..... But, For Deandre Jordan it was that they needed to secure a Center for long term and now they can trade Kaman when a good deal is on the Table.... But of course Jordan is now a over paid player I thought around 30 mil would be alright already but GSW has made that high offer unfortunate for LAC
LoL... it wasn't about securing a center... there are better centers out there for cheaper that can play a few years so you can pick one up out of next year's draft... it was about keeping Griffin happy... that was the bottom line...
#1 priority for clips! what is this news im hearing about a 4-team trade for dwight howard that would send him to new jersey?! LOL
