^ That's expensive... for beers. @_@ If we buy it in stores, it costs anywhere from $1.5 to $3 CDN for an average bottle of beer, but liquors are often around the $30 mark for a 750mL bottle.
The SG gov is discouraging ppl to drink alcohol. Most local don't drink, but we wacky foreigners drink a lot
^ It's a good policy. Drinking does cause some trouble, especially when the just-of-age (or underage) kids get hammered at keg parties. But me? I started drinking early, my parents worried that I will get drunk and be taken advantage of. A worrying lot there, them.
But the problem is that people getting curious and start experimenting. So I'm not sure if it actually works ...
lol.. no way.. alcohol is really popular here.. alot of ppl drink beer at coffee shops.. especially the uncles.. and pubbing is popular too
^ That's true to some extent... I remember when I went to that whatever huge river in China (pass by Si Chuan the spicy/chili food capital) I eat all chili food (yit hei) and then drink beer... I never grow a single cranker sore, nothing at all. So I guess there's some truth in there.
As far as I know they have a beer feast. Where they eat German sausages and pork hog too. With ofcourse lots of beer
Well, we just eat finger food like chicken nuggets and calamari (fried squid) and fries instead of the crunchy peanuts.
It's quite nice, some meat baked in beer if it's done properly! I was in Germany yesterday and ate some pork meat that had been marinated in a beer sauce and while I try to eat as few meat as possible I couldn't resist this dish. But erm ontopic: I usually don't like beer but once a while I go to Belgium to get those 'girly' beers like the ones with a cherry taste and drink it with a straw like drinking a soda... -rolleyes
Toronto is also known as the most hated egocentric city in Canada (not sure the truth of it, but I think it is kind of true) But scenary... don't they all have their share of pretty places in European countries???
Yes, they do, but you need to know the language in order to have 100% fun. Me as Dutch know plenty of languages
^ GUH, and you just said it when I am suffering for the French exam TT_TT Mav is mean... How many languages do you speak then??? Which one(s) is/are your mother tongue?
Me not so strong in languages, but I know: - Dutch - English - German - Chinese - Greek - French - Latin Gee, didn't know that you have French exam ...
