really enjoying this series so far. I really like the Ruco/Grace pairing as siblings. Grace's acting definitely improved a lot and I love her character. The friendship of Ruco and Ben is also pretty well written.
*spoiler* (if you haven't watched up to ep18 yet) can someone explain what took so long for grace wong to destroy carlo ng? why waste all that time trying to get close to him when her kung fu is way better than his....she could have taken him out LONG LONG time ago....can't figure this out... all those scenes where she looks terrorized by carlo...why why why...she can kick his butt...lol
then her identity will be revealed way too early by KK Cheung and her plan was also to get the three triad bosses to turn on each other, which worked. KK Cheung pretended to retire from the business but he was actually waiting for a chance for the other two to duke it out. It wasn't just the martial arts too, because of that, the underground gambling business took a hit from that as well, at least for a while
i guess you have a point....but then she can at least fight carlo during the gambling scene....instead of watching the ruco and benjamin punish each other....i just figured even with her plan of turning on each other, she had ample opportunities to take carlo down before innocent people get killed... another question....grace who is the younger sibling can recognize ruco....how come ruco can't recognize grace???
This is true, but I like to believe she already had plans to cheat Carlo at the end, and in my honest opinion she probably doesn't care about the innocent as much as Ruco and Ben. It may be because she wants to corner him, whereas if she attacks in the casino, innocent bystanders will get in the way of her revenge, I honestly liked how that scene turned out, but I agree, she really may have many opportunities to kill him alone, you can say the producers want to drag the series longer a bit, which I don't mind, besides Ghost Relativity, this series is another drama that I have followed since episode 1. Back to back quality dramas, I like it
besides this well written drama and also well performed? i also like how the theme song w/ nancy and ruco lol edit: update....ending is starting to become more and more sad.... i hate to spoil it for anyone but damn..
now that the series is over, there are two main questions 1. Where do I learn the exploding clothe kung fu? 2. After 28 episodes, did we unlock hard mode? All the boss are now harder to kill?
Yay happy ending dont usually agree with happy ones but for this one they should be happy! absolutely loved nancy character so many layers to her maybe this year she can win tv queen clear cut def my fav role of hers (for some reason in her shows she is overshadowed......) Ruco is always good but Benjamin is catching up deserves praise ever since speed of life he's has been getting better and better ...moved up to siu sang status I'm keeping this one to watch again! most violent series in the last 10 years from tvb?
I agree, although I have a gut feeling TVB wants to promote Phillip more. The reason why I say that is because I felt that he had a bigger impact when he died vs Grace. I guess you can say I was a bit upset that Grace got a mini tribute when she died and the majority of the sad scenes regarding her was Sam Yee Po's letter to Ruco which more or less not really related to Grace. Phillip got like 2-3 separate scenes, the Moon Lau funeral scene and the solo Yuen Qiu crying scene, both are great acting btw, but I felt his "funeral"/sad scenes were extended I liked every character though, been a while since TVB gave us a good action with a good storyline. I would say it has that ancient "Jiang Hu" feel but set in the 50-60s. Forget Ruco and Nancy for a moment because they are always great actors/actresses but every single support character did an amazing job. Absolutely amazing job. PS I still hate that say la ying
Finally finished. 1) Great series. Definitely way better than Blue Veins. Lots of action in this series which is great; practically every episode. The series isn't overtaken by the love lines which is often the case. 2) Why is KC the dai dai lo of the series? 3) I thought Ruco's vision loss was only temporary, really required surgery? 4) Benjamin is great; I definitely enjoyed watching him for quite a while now. 5) TBH i thought originally Benjamin and Ruco were going to go against each other the whole series, never expected to partner up for the majority of the series to fight the dai los. 6) I feel like Jazz Lam is like Oscar Leung. Both are actually pretty decent enough to be the supporting cast. Sometimes they get decent screen time, other dramas they are like KLFs. Both just never took off. 7) Definitely hated the way Phillip talked in this series. I was also not expecting him to die. Both Grace + his death were tragic.. 8) Considering Him Law was (I think) supposed to be in Ruco's role but Ruco replaced him, Ruco should've been the original choice anyways 9) Forgot to mention Thai Por. Her role isn't big enough IMO.. 10) Didn't know they were on BBC. Definitely give that a watch
