I think one of the reasons why TVB is trying to make the episodes last longer than its usual 20 episodes is probably because they're running out of story lines. This way, they don't have to keep thinking of new stories which pretty much they've done anything i can possibly think of. I really like Dicey Business, Heart of Greed, and On the First Beat, I think the series is a success if it captivates my whole family to watch it together at dinner.
Yeah I think this year has been filled with great series, dicey business brink of law heart of greed are all good. Last year I will say it is so so. This year we have drive of life and that 80 ep drama jewel splendor that is still filming
just finished watching 5epi.. nice drama i suppose.. hope there will not b a rushing ending like heart of greed...
I do think TVB is trying to make a drama which can be comparable with 'A Threshold of New Era' by Gallen Loh.. That drama had more than 100 episodes if I'm not mistaken.. Eventually this drama with 60 episodes is better than having more than 100 episodes LOL
Whoa, I don't even remember "At the Threshold of New Era" was that long. Now that's how you know it's a good series
i agree with one of hte first posts the voice dubbing is so lame but it looks like a good series so far even though it has just begun with a few characters. it'll be interesting to see how the plot links all the characters.
Well the drama do have 50 episodes for each part and there are 2 parts for this drama.. So eventually its almost 100 episodes.. I feel Drive of Life has more suspense as during the 1st episode, the conflicts began.. Nice show man
I dont think this one will be so great, its only with so many stars in it. The Storyline is kinda looking boring to me
it could be a come-back but i thought tvb already came back when dicey business started..i thought it was pretty good..and heart of greed too...i also liked maiden's vow, and grow to love i think it was
heart of greed is great, look at the result of that series...i hope drive of life can make it interesting for the entire 60 episodes.
this is definitely a comeback attempt. tvb dramas sometime start out pretty good and then towards the end the story becomes far fetched and ridiculous. this one definitely has its top notched actors. hopefully it wont end up flopping
this series is made to honor HKSars 10th anniversary so it's not really a comeback in a sense. however, if you were to say they put a lot of attention in this serie to compared with other tvb series, then yeah, i think so.
