Wow, that's awful! -ohmy I do buy off Ebay from time to time, but only if I can't get something of a comparable nature and value elsewhere. I also look beyond feedback, since most people leave feedback right away and do not properly assess the item beyond the first few days. A good example would be memory cards, which are often found to be fake. People try it out when they receive it and of course it works fine. But when it experiences a premature death or some other type of problem, there is no recourse.
Never got ripped off. I only shop at ebay to try to get a better price for an expensive item that I want, or for items that normally, I wouldn't be able to get my hands on due to geographic location.
