asian, westerner, black, etc etc... have smart, dumb and even 'stone'. well i can become smart or become dumb.. it depend on occasion.. hehehe/..use it on de rite time..
If you were to ask one of my friends, they would probably say I'm smart, but I don't think so at all ^^; I don't do well on tests, but if you ask me something casually (as difficult as that is) I'll probably know the answer and everything.
no, I am just plain stupid and ugly :(( But seriously, I am not that smart. Most people think that being Asian is smart but I am not one of them.
well, isn't this a bit subjective? where is the line for "smart" and "dumb"? also, there's street smarts vs. book smarts. or someone may even have both. when hellguard99 said, "i mostly get 80s so i suppose I'm dumb", i thought, "wow, getting 80s isn't such a bad thing." i guess hellguard just has high expectations, like my friend, who, when she gets a 90 on her test says "omgosh, i failed!" and it also depends what classes you take? i mean, basing your intelligence on grades aren't accurate because there's different levels of classes and even getting a B in an advanced class must count for something, right? for me, i don't think i'm dumb but i'm not saying i'm super smart either. i think the people you're surrounded with also matters. take for instance: a person in advanced classes might get Bs a lot and that person thinks they're "average" because they're surrounded by other people of the same caliber who get the same or even better grades than that person. but when that person takes a regular class, perhaps they get As because it's not as challenging. in that instance, that person would be taken as a super smart person, no?
^haha. true, for me at least. i've been trying to cut my procrastination habits for a really long time, but haven't been successful. not for a long period of time anyway. occasionally i'll have just one day where i won't distract myself with other things before finishing my homework. but i go right back to the distractions the next day.
what happened to the street smart vote??? i was a little above average in school. school wasn't the choice for me so i embarked my likings to something else. i'm more smart in troubleshooting and thinking outside the box.
I'm a dumb asian because whatever I do I always get a borderinline grade or a failing grade. Like for example, MATH, my worst subject... i need to spend like hours doing my homework. Even if the teacher stands there teaching for an hour, I still can't endure the work that easily.
I think all asians needa be smart! Thats what makes us so special; because the majority of us are smart.
