there are times when im proud, and im very proud first of all, im always proud to be chinese im very proud when 1. chinese new year ^.^ 2. performing chinese martial arts 3. watching tvb shows and understanding most of it
I grew up in NYC and went to schools that had a big population of Chinese/Asian kids, so it never occurred to me that the rest of the country isn't like that. I don't usually wear my race on my sleeve, since I want people to recognize me for who I am, not what ethnicity I belong to. But as I travel through small town America, I started realizing how white it really is... and sometimes, how even though I grew up American, people just assume I'm FOB. >.< I'm fine with being Chinese, but I wish there's one day where race/ethnicity isn't that important anymore since race/ethnicity is the cause of so many world conflicts.
U have to be proud and also live your life to uphold the Chinese culture that is good. You need some identification otherwise you live by meaningless code
I am proud of who we are when we are passionate about humanity and share happiness, otherwise I would be most ashamed when the darker side emerges and overwhelms the good ethos.
of course i am proud to be a Chinese....do you know how many asians want to be chinese...especially viet....and wat does she meant by chinese is not unique....many asian backgrounds come from chinese...jap, korean, viet, etc...and chinese is the original of them...and she called this not unique...get a life

I'm proud of being Chinese & HK people. Cantonese/Traditional Chinese is harder to learn than English! English is already our 2nd language, while some foreigners only know 1 language--their native language English, that is. Proud of our tradition!! Hardworking & smart people!!
in many ways i am.... but then when i think the minority of the people treat animals (endangered or not) or children esp babies then im not...... mostly am though
Umm... I guess. I don't know if proud is the word for me, I'm happy and all that I'm chinese and wouldn't want to be anything else. Maybe that is being proud I don't know.
Nya, I AM proud of being Chinese~ Well, actually, I live in Markham... and my entire school is pretty much chinese... xD
