i think that is debatable now considering the credit crisis. the uk is one of the worst affected areas of the credit crisis and we as the public will have to pay off that government debt sometime after meaning that there will be high taxation and stuff like that.

Hm... not really. I'm not too into Chinese culture and tradition. It's just who I am and it can't be changed. It's my nationality and I don't have much feeling for it. Sometimes I do feel proud but sometimes I'm not.
I'm American, but I can't forget that I'm Chinese. No matter how American I get, under all that, I am most certainly Chinese.
You don't get to choose what race you are when you are born, so everyone should be proud of whatever their heritage is. So yes, I am proud to be chinese!!
