ahhhh..mah first post..woohoo! As a CBC, I am totally proud to be Chinese. Infact, today I am feelin more proud being Chinese than yesterday LOL Frantly, each time China takes a step closer in regaining her strenght allows me to take pride in being Chinese. Sue me if you don't like my comment, you punks! wahahha
I am very proud to be Chinese even though I'm born in a western country. China has a long and strong history.
i'm happy to be chinese but due to different cultural opinions, i despise the older chinese generation's thinking and actions. this is probably becuase i was brought up in the western culture, so when i think something is right or is morally right, the chinese may not think it is. im pretty much open minded (opinion wise) but i find the chinese culture very conservative and keeping themselves to themselves, however im still happy to be chinese altho i dont think of it too much, not since high school anyways, i am who i am
I surely am proud of being a chinese. It is a gift for being born as a chinese. I assume in every country in the world there are chinese people.
At my work I am required to speak both english and cantonese! I feel very appreciated by my coworkers who only speak english..also 90% of the chinese ppl i deal with at work think im from China, but I'm US born and always get mistaken that I'm actually from China..so I am very very proud
to be honest we are the priviledge ones to speak our "mothertongue" coz lots of chinese 2nd and 3rd etc... generation kids who were brought up in foreign countries do not speak Chinese because the parents are too lazy to teach their mothertongue
