I think "arranged dating" with marriage in mind is okay. I don't know about you all but as we grow older and climb higher on the corporate ladder, there is very little time to date like when you're in school years. In fact, it's even more difficult meeting the right people. The arrangement kinda bring two people with the same intention together and let them develop from there ain't a bad idea.

I; however, totally disapprove of blind arranged marriage where none of the party know one another beside the families. We are living in stone age now. Such marriage only leads to divorce if not miserable life down the road.

If it is an arrangement where you are introduced and you have the intent to marry if you're compatible, I think it would be okay. Not my choice; but, okay.

Some of my asian friends have gone to China to meet women that their parents deemed suitable. They were introduced, dated, married, and now have kids. They've dated before but the relationships eventually didn't work out. Plus their parents did have their best interest at heart. They both are settled in their careers and only sons.

I myself would not accept arranged marriage. My mom, on the other hand would totally be OK with it since my parents pretty much married each other after meeting 2 times. I rather pick my own guy.

Oh no i really anti this concept...it's so sad...we are grown up kids and should be responsible for every thing we do hence it's better to get your partner yourself...i am not sure is there such thing in this 21st century now...hopefully no

  7. my parents would never do that to me thank goodness... they might try to set me up with a guy they like but they'll never force me to marry someone i don't know...

i'd hate to be in this situation but most indians still follows arranged marriage... some of them are living happily with each other... where as some women are getting murdered by their husband so he can get remarried and make some more $$...

I'm against arranged marriages, but on the other side it is easy because you don't have to look for The One for years!
