what is hate is when the white guys brag about it... I see threads of white guys saying things like "we are better than asian guys, taking their girls" And at my university, i have not seen an asian couple yet. It is kind of sad.
its all about personal preference... n especially if u grow up in a western country of course there is a chance that ur gonna hookup with a caucasian... one of my friends has been with a dutch guy for ages n shes quite white washed so its probably better for her to hook up with a caucasian anyway i dont c how it could work between her n a real chinese guy as for me... i have nothing against mixed couples...(unless its like those asian women who just hook up with caucasians because of their wealth) anwyway who are we to judge n talk about who should up with who? as long as they like eachother why are other ppl bothered by it? is it jealousy? perhaps? i dont know! n no im not saying this because i hooked up with a caucasian... havent been very much interested in them yet but i have been/am attracted to guys who arent asian...anyway depends on person la
I'm not against mixed couples LOL at my new work place....damn there are some really really nice aussie girls.. and they're pretty flirty haha whther or not i can be in a relationship with one, well it will depend on the person...not the race etc...
I am fine with mixed couples...it's funny, in most instances, the white guys end up with the not so attractive asian females (imo, and certainly not the rule) I have started to see more asian guys with white girls now..in another 200 yrs..there wil only be one race left!!
If there asian girls that would date white guys..those are probally girls I wouldn't want anyways..these guys can take them.. White guys likes love asians as it is more exotic..I'll look at an asian girl and be like whatever..white dudes be all over the same..girl..
I don't think it's always a conscious decision; usually it just happens. However, some legitimate reasons would be 1) white guys probably expect less stereotypical asian submissiveness; 2) it's easier to feel more secure with a taller, bigger guy
i think it has 2 do with the culture... american born asian are different from out of state born asians you know? how they are raised and taught... environment... take those into an account...
I have many mat sallehs in the office I work with, and a number of them have Asian girls as their girlfriends. Some go for Chinese (from mainland China), Filipino, Malaysian Chinese, Indonesian, Balinese..you name it. The way I look at it, it's like a deal they each get out of the relationship. Most have got their wives back at home in the UK, NZ, etc but yet they have a gf here in KL. Most of them have an understanding that they do not ask about each other's other commitments, and when they leave they leave with no strings attached. I do find them any better than Asian men, but well I guess there are some Asian girls who look up to and think very highly of them and are naturally proud to be with them.
i don't like asian girls that only date white guys, it's not racism but i feel like those girls think that chinese guy aren't good enought ;x
like so many other people have said in this thread: its all down to personal preference, the heart wants what it wants, right? but recently a I met a chinese girl who had a white bf and I became sick to death of how much she talked about him and said how all her other friends said how good looking he was. I seen the guy and he ain't that good looking, but then again I'm bound to say that. And it shouldn't bother me, i mean it's perfectly normal not to mention common, but it did bother me even though I am not attracted to her in the slightest.
One of the reasons for dating a white guy is that they tend to be a lot more open and accepting/understanding as compared to asian guys. Majority (generalisation here) of the asian guys prefer their girlfriend (long term partner) to be quiet and nice, be able to cook and clean. I on the other hand, hate cooking and have many guy friends... Most asian guys I've dated couldn't handle that..
I think I responded to another thread about this already... Well, I used to be one of those girls who only found white guys attractive and found no attraction to Asian guys. This changed when I went to college and majored in Asian American Studies. Boy, did it open my eyes! So looking back, I was basically brainwashed by the media and the society. How often do we see white men being the hero (aka the "White Knight") and winning the love of a woman of color? MANY TIMES. When an Asian/Asian American is in a leading role, which is infrequent already, does he portray a romantic, loving, or sexual side at all? NO. When you watch TV, the majority are white and if there are Asians on the show, they are playing immigrants, criminals, prostitutes, a white guy's wife/gf, a villain, a white guy's sidekick...what have you. This is the brain washing by Hollywood and demanded by society. In short, many Asian American females can only match up their ideal men to the white men they see on TV, in movies, ads, etc. They take away the masculinity of Asian males (a topic heavily discussed in Asian American studies), making many feel inadequate in many ways and causing Asian women to even be disgusted by their lack of manliness. Many Asian American females who are into white guys are a cause of self-hate, gulit, and ignorance. White guys, on the other hand, enjoy the stereotype that they see of Asian women: them being submissive, totally loyal to their man, and aims to sexually please him. There have been many cases where a white man would find an Asian woman through a mail order service and they end up abusing them, taking advantage of them, and even killing them. I have worked with a few of these clients and saw reports of them being killed. And please do backlash to the women who participate in these services. Some of them are forced to do it or are sold into it because the family is so poor. Many of them really try to find love through that. There is a lot more history that goes into a white man's attraction to women of color than you think. It's very interesting and I hope you all get a chance to learn about it or study it.
