I just don't understand how he could watch her lay dying and just pass her by. That's even more heartless than stabbing her. Fucking scum bag. I say stab him in the liver and let him bleed out. It should take a while.
So this dude stabs her, steals a laptop + a few other things, calls the police, and returns four hours later to steal more things + watch her die? wtf? And yes guys, this murder took place in CHINA, so why does it surprise/disgrace you guys because a CHINESE person committed the deed?
Fact is thousands of murders take place in China every year, same as the US. If you ever watch the Chinese cable TV show, China Cops, you'll realize that crime in China is as rampant, or even more so than in the US. From watching these shows, I get the sense that there is a much better chance of criminals killing the witness in China than in the US or Canada. Insofar as criminality, Chinese have been involved in criminal syndication for thousands of years and would make the mafioso look like amateurs when it comes to organization. Street crime, on the other hand, has only been a recent phenomenon with the new generation. Before China's advance into the modern world with the death of Mao, China was so backward that everyone was equally poor. Now there is a much wider disparity of wealth so petty crime has become rampant. As for capital punishment for this case? It's almost guaranteed. The PRC admittedly executes about three to four thousand prisoners a year (though some suspect that the true number is actually nearer to eight thousand or more) but the actual number is a state secret. However with this case in particular, where a young and good looking foreign girl was murdered, and then had her case was plastered all over the national and foreign press would almost make this a shoo-in for the death penalty. The culprit's days are numbered.
^ totally agree .. judicial system in china is basically no judicial system. you're guilty until proven innocent .. but i heard that sometime .. guilty is guilty .. no due process is needed for the judgment. sad .. lucky i am not living there.
