    But so far I've heard nothing but complaints from my friend who goes there...they said they have uni timings cut short, so everything is crammed, they cut budget spending, they have shorter holidays

    BAh come to QLD.... UQ or QUT are great... gold coast beaches just a short drive away... everywhere else = miserable weather :p

    That I would agree on, Gold Coast has best beaches, best beach weather and night weather.
    Day time super humid and hot
    Night time super windy and cold and the occasional rain

    Brisbane's Chinatown is very LOL worthy.. most of us don't go there... we stick to the southside of brisbane where the unofficial asia town is :D
