that study has a high probability in europe but not here in the US as I've seen... and plus, parents usually place more attention on the younger one
Yup, naturally. But this research did not specify the gender difference as well. I think it's crap haha.
More attention... That can definitely translate to "Get on a diet, otherwise you'll be obese", flawed-reasoning-based stunted growth... -devil If that make any sense, that is -tongue2
How would that apply to a sibling being inferior simply because they are born later? If it should manifest itself that way (older being stronger and younger being inferior), it means that other factors are involved such as long exposure of the parents to toxic materials, the unluckiness of inheriting all those "defective" genes and so on....
True enough. But point is, isn't it more likely to inherit defective genes if the gene pool (from the parents) contains more defective genes? It is not necessary so, I just say it's more likely to be so... And no, even if the parents are extremely careful as to NOT expose to toxic materials (which is extremely difficult if you think about it), there's still the factor of random mutation which MAY lead to an increase of defective genes, no?
i got 2 older sisters and im da shortest >.< da oldest is 3 inches taller and da 2nd is onli 1/2 inch taller lol but i noe a lot of ppl where da youngest is da tallest
i would say this is true and also untrue...so 50/50. Consider everything constant, so the life style is the same, same amount of hrs of sleep every day for both kids, same food, same drink, same length of study ...etc...then this may be true..... but not everyone is the same...maybe the younger one liks to play a lot of sports..a.nd therefore mor eactive...and therefore taller ....
this isn't true, its all down to the genes crossing over and random assortment during fertilisation that determines ur height. if ur lucky u will get a tall gene, its not down to siblings and its very hard to prove it is down to that bcos of the variation of the genes.
