I hope Bernice was not lip-synching.. but I wouldn't be surprised if she was since it seems like she doesn't have enough "air" when she sings. She does have a nice voice though..

Nurse Bernice Promotes Digital Doctor

Bernice Liu was at a promotion for the Digital Doctor yesterday where she appeared as an OL and as a nurse to introduce the services of the digital multimedia health service. Yumiko Cheng's wardrobe malfunction affair in Canada has become the recent talk of the town and as Bernice has just returned from a show in Canada, she was asked about the incident. She says that each time she performs, then she will make sure that she has taken all precautions and when she was taking part in beauty contests, the minders had warned her about having underclothes. However, sometimes these things are unavoidable and as a dancer herself, Bernice knows that sometimes when the actions are big, then she will make sure she has an extra strap on her dress to make sure that it does not fall or maybe have a dress underneath. She smiles that she only learned about nipple tape after entering showbiz.

Bernice joined several TVB artistes at the recording of "The Same Song" earlier, but was accused of lip synching. She explains that everyone else was the same that night, maybe because the company was worried about them not singing their own songs and therefore the results not being as good. As for her Mandarin being mocked by Eric Tsang, she says that she will work hard at improving her Cantonese and Mandarin and she feels that Eric speaks Mandarin too fast and she has to listen hard to understand, but she does not mind being joked about as long as everyone is happy as they watch.

Bernice Liu took part in the opening event of an exhibition of art by modern artist Burton Morris at Kowloon Tong's Festival Walk yesterday, attended by the artist himself. During the show, they fed each other popcorn and he led Bernice off the stage to show him his artwork. He seemed rather enamoured by Bernice as he placed his hand around her waist. Asked if she felt he had his hand around her waist too much, Bernice says: "No, he just touched me. I am happy to have the chance to meet him because he is quite famous overseas and he says he will give me one of his works. I never thought he would be so friendly."

Nat Forces Bernice to Love 'Dak Dak Dei'

Nat Chan's Olympic Quiz continued filming earlier and guests on the night were Bernice Liu, Sharon Luk and Tracy Ip. Nat jumped on the opportunity to make jokes with Bernice about Moses Chan, using his character 'Dak Dak Dei' [Cantonese: 'Pretty Good'] as the basis of his jokes as he asked when he gave her a watch: "Dak Ng Dak? [Is it good?]" and then when Bernice replied "Ho Dak" [Very Good] then he laughed: "See, I knew you like Dak Dak Dei."

Afterwards, when Nat asked Bernice a question about windsurfing, he said she was going off-topic with her answer, but then continued to talk about having to turn around when your love life doesn't work out, but he believes that 'Dak Dak Dei' will not get the wrong girl, telling Bernice that the relationship should be very stable. Bernice appeared on the show with a very fresh haircut after cutting off 5 inches of her long hair. Asked if she is cutting her hair because she has lost in love, she smiles she does not know why, but she just felt like cutting it for no real reason.

In a radio interview later, Bernice admits that she did go to visit Michelle Yim and Lee Si Kei on set and Moses happened to be there. Asked if they had joked about this with her, she avoided the question and said that she has not had time to watch Moses's performance in "Heart of Greed". Having just returned from filming in Japan, she says that she went to a hot spring for the first time there, but she could not take it and nearly fainted.

Tracy has been taking singing lessons and she will be singing in public for the first time on Father's Day as well as a duet with Raymond Lam. As a result she has been taking extra lessons to avoid embarrassment. Talking of Raymond being signed by EEG, Tracy feels that if the opportunity arises, then signing with any record company would not be a problem and even if she has to work with rumoured boyfriend Don Li, then she will not mind.

Dance talent Bernice Liu donned her dancing shoes to promote a new mobile phone model yesterday when she joined two male models for a rather raunchy dance number. As they became absorbed in their routine, one of the men placed his hand rather close to her bust, but the westernised Bernice did not seem to mind at all, saying: "You will get some close contact when you are dancing, it is very normal."

As for her needs from a phone, Bernice says that the most important thing is the camera because she is quite snap-happy and loves taking photos with her phone, including pictures of landscapes, people and her two beloved dogs. Recently, her pet dog Mac has become pregnant and she has filmed the whole process at the vets with her camera. Asked which people she usually photographs, she says her friends and the crew. How about rumoured boyfriend Moses Chan? She says: "No, I haven't seen him much recently anyway. (How about in the past?) The functions in the old phones were not as good then." Asked if she is worried about losing her phone and revealing her personal photographs? She smiles: "Anything too personal will not be on my phone. The most personal I have will be the pictures I have of Mac, so when I did lose my phone before, I was very upset because I lost all my pictures of her."

Bernice looks SO young in this pic! Very refreshing.. filming in ancient costume sounds really bad.. no wonder most artists prefer to film modern series..

Bosco's Reputation Precedes Him - Bernice says No Sparks

For Bernice Liu, when she was filming for "Devil's Disciple" with Bosco, he openly picked up her lunch box for her and there were rumours of sparks between them. To this day, Bernice still finds this very funny: "It is very normal to help your colleague get lunch, there is nothing unusual. However, it is good publicity for the show."

It was not just rumours that she attracted whilst filming for "Devil's Disciple", but also the mosquitoes, leaving her with over a hundred bites all over her body that were red and swollen: "I was being bitten all the time and even after putting repellant on, it was useless. Even with my ancient costume on, the mosquitoes still found a way in and I cannot bear the itchiness. Every time I was bitten, I had to scratch and it was hard work."

This series was filmed SO long ago.. it's strange to be airing it in HK now.. I liked Bernice's character in this series more than her role in Slicing of the Demon..

As many netizens have already watched the series on the internet, are they worried that the series ratings will be affected? They say they are not worried and point out that as this show has already been aired in the Mainland and Thailand with good results, then the company has decided to air it in Hong Kong for the summer holidays and all the critique will just help to promote the show.

Bernice did not sleep the previous night because her beloved pet dog was giving birth for the first time, so she was filming the whole process. She says: "She had three boys and one girl, but one was not complete and did not survive the birth. It made me realise how fascinating life is." Asked when they would be getting married and having kids themselves, Bernice and Sharon say that due to their work, their planned age to get married has passed now. Sharon says: "I am worried I will never marry!"
