this one is for teh people who have been to japan, what was tehbest place you visited there?
    I know, hard question...

I liked so much there, but the best, was probebly nara. small town, former capital, lots and lots pf temples, a 16 meter buddah, beautiful forrests, a park with thousants of tame deer, lovely canals and ponds...

I preferred Kansai (Osaka and Nara) much better than Tokyo. As a tourist Tokyo is just like any other mega-city with neon light logos written in Japanese (instead of English in NYC and London and French in Paris and Chinese in Hong Kong)

And I fed those deers at Nara, they were so adorable!

if you like ramen go to kyuushuu, they have the best ramen in japan.. 99 islands.. very nice.. but the walk up the hill was very exhausting.. it was about 20 minutes from the bus stop.. Aso valcano.. an active one too.. but the youth hostel there was kinda dirty.. and Aso was very suburbian.

if you go to osaka or kobe, you should visit the shopping districts like shinsaibashi, namba, mosaic and the chinatown in kobe (even though it's just 1 long avenue)...

Second popular country in the world. Of course, it does indeed have a lot of things than meets the eyes. However, AKIHABARA is the place that you should go. This is what JP is famous for. But tokyo is also the dream place where people would like to visit. After all, it is the capital of JP. U should know more, the more you travel.
