imo he probably freaked out when he felt the bump so he thought he stepped on the brake but didn't. It's possible he was tailgating which explains why he didn't see the person, but we don't know exactly what happened. The taxi driver says Daesung wasn't going too fast and appeared to be going the speed limit, though Daesung says he wasn't. Hopefully the investigation will help us understand the situation better soon.

TBH though, I don't think the police should be wasting so much time figuring out whether or not the guy was alive before Daesung came.. they should focus more on catching the hit and run guy..

hmm hopefully a fair investigation will be conducted

bottom line is, if DaeSung is innocent, he will be proven innocent, else he should be punished by whatever South Korea law says. But aside from the accident, he should be fined for the speeding anyways

All I have to say is thank you Mr. Taxi, Taxi, Taxi! Such a great guy for clearing things up! Because a celebrity was involved, there are tons of rumors the media come up with. Now that everything is clear, I just hope Daesung is ok. He's been locking himself in his room and crying.

I just hope they don’t be too harsh on him. Motorcyclist is at fault too. In fact, imo he is most at fault as fucked up as it sounds. It was his own carelessness that resulted in his death. Even if Daesung didn’t come along and ran him over who’s to say another person wouldn’t have. Just because they can’t tell if the guy would have died anyway they want to pin this shit on Daesung. Yeah, ok. lol I think he should be punished for neglecting to drive safely (speed limit) but if they put him in jail I’m gonna flip a bitch.

  11. By "Poor guy" you guys mean the guy who died right?

It's fascinating how people are so quick to shift the blame to the victim who died. It's like saying "Oh, he punched me, but it's still my fault because I was in his way". Really now?

Being a celeb is no excuse for not being able to recognize an incident, especially with a two minute window. If he gets sentenced lightly, I don't mind. But people shouldn't be so quick as to falsely blame another individual, especially the victim, if it was in fact a celeb's fault.

^did you read that the victim was drunk driving and the reason why he was in the middle of the road bleeding was because he hit post or something and suffered a head injury? they said it could have been life threatening but not sudden death. the reason why they decided to charge Daesung is because the guy for sure died after Daesung hit him. they weren't even 100% sure the guy died after he hit him but they decided that anyway.

if you recall the thread last month about the guy who laid on the street pretending to be a speed bump.. he did that drunk and people said that the guy deserved what happened because he was being dumb. how is drunk driving any different? if anything it's even more dumb because he made the decision to drive drunk probably even before he started drinking.

smh, drunk drivers. even if they didn't take someone's life they still ruin it.

  13. Yes I saw that part, and yes, it was damn stupid on the victim's part. I am not advocating for drunk drivers, because yes, they are at fault. But I was referring to Daesung's actions, not the drunk. Daesung had 2 full minutes of seeing and recognizing the scenario. Two minutes is ample time to see an incident and avoid it. I'm not saying there was an intent on his part, but there was neglect involved.

IMO both are at fault. Daesung for speeding according to the results and tailgating and the dude for drinking and driving. No one is putting the blame on the victim, Daesung even covered the funeral cost. What Daesung is goin through is way more important that the results. Ofcourse he can pay the fine but he is mentally scarred. If u know him or follow him you would know the type of person he is and I'm glad many people are still supporting him and not blaming him

he didn't exactly have 2 minutes lol. the guy was just there for two minutes but apparently Daesung's view was blocked by the car in front of him (according to the taxi dude). imo, that probably means Daesung was tailgating. I'm not making up excuses to defend him, I just don't think it is entirely his fault. I just think the way that they handled the case (the fact that they believed nothing else mattered, including whether or not the guy was drunk driving, but to figure out if the guy was dead before or after) was way too harsh on Daesung's part.

agreed, both are at fault. but there are too many people who aren't clear with all the facts and tell Daesung supporters that they're wrong for supporting him. again, this whole thing is just a matter of wrong place, wrong time. I really wonder how they would have handled it if it was someone else instead of Daesung.
