thanks for the info dude. even though i always get high download speeds =D but i want it to go faster now mwhahhaha
you guys are luckky, my torrent have never really worked for me :| its either super slow, or its not get connected at all
Just use this patch and change the limit to 65534. Then in BitComet, change the Max half-open TCP connections to 500. Unless your router supports UPnP, you should disable UPnP Port Mapping in BitComet. Also, keep the "Maximum Connections per task" and "Connections to keep per task" to about 100 because higher values may cause your router to lock up. Also be sure to port forward the BitComet Listen Port. One way to test is to open a torrent to about 5 minutes and look in the Peers section and under Initiation to see if any of the peers are Remote. If all of them are Local, then you didn't set it up correctly. Remember that you have forward the ports in the router and in the firewall.
Anyone has any idea that bicomet works better than BT with routers (cheap ones). I have tried DLink and Lynksys, both having problems handling the traffic and keeping rebooting the router ever so oven or needing to power on/off router and sometimes modem (cable). Thanks for any thoughts.
could this work for bitcomet 0.70 becauz before my connection speed for a torrent 1/12[1/13] 306% was around 96 kb per second but after i did the "Just use this patch and change the limit to 65534. not necessarily the app..but would help in the router rebooting..mind u..if ur doing massive dls..in some cases its normal to reboot ur router every now and then.....key being every now and then......not constantly.....
Hmmm you guys good lah. In our country the internet connection is suck. My download speed is suck. Can't even get pass 10kb for download. whatever I did on my router, tweaking all the same.
After this, my download is 6-16kb.. crazy... I tried that patch thing carl posted, and all my peers are Local, I don't know why. What did I do wrong? I did all the settings and they are still Local...
lol i have a 10mbit/1.5mbit line and i rarely hit 10mbit... mostly 7mbit+ upload is pretty consistant... just go to dslreports.com and check it out
umm when i go to the peer>initiation i only see local and like NAT traversal but i dont see public is tat good?
Its bad. NAT traversal means you are behind a router firewall and you need to open a port through port forwarding or virtual server in some router.
ewww bitcomet, utorent here man...less resources... better functions, 100-250 KB/s... and i hav bad connection too =D but bitcomet not a bad choice other than utorrent client, another good one is azerues (forgot spelling lol)
o.0 i have dsl... internet. n it is adequate... but mii dwld speed is onli... 14.kb/s dats slow rite?? YYYYY SO SLOW!??!?!
