usually most kit come unpainted, and majority of the kit does not have direct fit, no matter how much they claim it does, from my exprience with them. But your best bet is get a reputable brand for the kit, atleast they will come close to perfect fit as it gets, unlike ebay, where the fiberglass might be tacky, and need to be reinforced. But as for price wise for installation,i dont know how much people charge in houston, but in dallas you can get it installed from anywhere between 150-250 and painting will run you about 400 bucks. As for the performance chip you will gain the most for turbo cars really, cause when i had my VW GLI, the GIAC chip made a quite of diffrence, from 160whp to 235whp, but that is with turboback exhaust. But for a N/A car it wont do much.
ebay bodys suck unless you only getting side skirts and rear bumper cause those usually are decent and dont break as fast considering the front of course sucks
whatever you do buy from a place recommended by friends or if they have kits on some cars you can inspect...what you save in a dodgy body kit you will pay for in labour getting it to fit properly...
for ur bumper iono how much ur bumper cost but itll cost u about 200 to get it painted n n they put it on for you ... make sure tell them to blend it otherwise it wont look too great.... this way itll match the hood n fenders.... chip wise... dont really thing u need it if ur running stock... all it does is ajust ur ecu to run differntly .... for instant i had a motor swope so i had to get a chip because my p28 ecu was telling my motor to give less fuel and air... my new motor was running lean... (good because gas prices are so expensive but bad for the motor) chip definitly inproved proformance on my car but thats because i wasnt recieving the full potentional of my motor
install you can do it yourself.. it's not too difficult but paint, you should bring it to a good paint shop
