Er... this thread is already a bit dated, but WTH...

Audition (1999)@@AMEPARAM@@http://ia.media-imdb.com/images/M/MV5BMTQwNzQwNjIwOV5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTcwMjg5NDAzMQ@@._V1._SX100_SY140_.jpg@@AMEPARAM@@BMTQwNzQwNjIwOV5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTcwMjg5NDAzMQ@@@@AMEPARAM@@SX100@@AMEPARAM@@SY140 With Audition (a Takashi Miike classic), there was a genuine and intriguing story line, with a plot turnabout that was as ironic as it was horrific. In other words, there was a tale to tell besides the torture. If one is "into" watching sadistic acts for its own sake as a matter of entertainment, one certainly doesn't need new movies. There are plenty of historical documentaries widely available that are guaranteed to turn the average stomach.

Man's inhumanity to man is frighteningly widespread throughout history with ample visual record of such.
