Cantonese mistaken as Viet

wow, don't tell me that u guys live in this sad place.. lol.. i sort of felt sorry for u guys.
but thank god that you (hkm) didn't live there.

They always refer us as Chinese.

They don't care if you are Cambodian, Vietnamese, Japanese, Korean, or Chinese; white, black, and Hispanic will always refer us as Chinese. They will never know how to tell the difference. It is just like beating a dead horse.-noclue

every time when i say I'm Asian on the net, people always say "Japanese?"

 

I get that sometimes, really don't know when to stop them and tell them I don't understand

 

ive neen mistaken by japanese as their own ppl. they camme up to me and said 'konichiwa'. lol

 

I've never been mistaken as Viet but rather as Japanese which is not really better...

 

not only Cantonese people has the possibily of being mistaken as viets...but also before I used to think that Cantonese language was similar to Vietnamese...hehe...but yeah not anymore...however...I might still mistaken Cantonese as Viet n vice versa...since some Asian people look similar to one another...

 

I don't get mistaken for it but I hate when crackers say "Ching chong bang boom" is Chinese when it sounds more viet like "phuc dat"

 

I only get mistaken for viet from foreigners much like how I can't tell the difference between someone from Mexico vs. Brazil.

when i´m around in vietnam, they think i´m chinese
in europe the chinese think i´m viet or chinese
but hk was a lot of fun, they all thought i am a HK chinese
same goes for my sai lo, when i met him the first time he talked cantonese to me

a few years ago i got a short haircut and some japanese tourists mistook me for jet li lol
i should have asked them to send me some prints gnah

ive never been mistaken as a viet....but a few have mistaken me for a filipino which is just...stupid...my cousins nickname me "bun mui" so mean...>.<
