haha...I agree with hiake, though I'm not part of the 'male' audience. There was that steamy chemistry between brad pitt and angelina jolie, and they're gonna have to do much better than cecilia and andy if they wanna make it a hit. Maybe try daniel wu and...i dunno...shu qi?
@dreyvii: OMG you are totally right, Daniel Wu would make a mean John Smith... Shu Qi may turn out to be a liability (or an asset) to the film depending on how she's doing. Somehow a lot of people just HATE her... No idea why (I personally find her very adorable and a great actress on screen)
Shu Qi is an awesome choice, just watched her movie "So Close" the other day and LOVED her in it. She really has the sultriness to be the Chinese equivalent of Angelina (just look at her recent pictures at Cannes!)
^ I do think she's VERY adorable and not to mention hot (although not quite the same type of hotness as Daniel Wu) But sometimes I am just weird'd out that people find her ugly = unsexy...
I didn't like her initially, but she sort of changed her image later. Initially she gave me the impression of a porn star, but after seeing her in City of Glass and So Close, I changed my mind. She's hot! Esp in So Close. Haha...so I did make the right choice in stating Shu Qi and Daniel Wu eh? They do have charisma...
I feel Andy lacks sex appeal. He's good looking, don't get me wrong, but just lacking something in a Mr Smith role. I guess he can pass...what do you think if we paired Carena Lau Ka Ling with him? Cecilia is a BAD BAD choice. Let her stick to comedies, leave the sexy stuff to those with better assets, LOL. Mind you, this coming from even a girl's POV!

Definitely Carina Lau + Tony Leung!!! hahahaha. Shu Qi and Daniel Wu?? Can't even speak proper Cantonese. Not a fan of shu qi. daniel's ok, but he need to work on his cantonese! Tryin to understand him in Protege was a task! Carina Lau would definitely do better than cecilia cheung pairing with Andy. Cecilia with andy is just weird IMO. Too young for andy lol.
