aw man thats awesome...this will hopefully abolish fossil fuel and prevent global warming...yay. Glad people are taking steps to prevent the ice age from coming =D

There is already a nuclear bomb that uses the same principle of nuclear fusion btw. Its the H bomb, basically what the article talks about is trying to contain that energy so they can use it for good. In a H bomb all the energy is just release and thus "boom" -dead yes I do physics

lol i dont think an explosion from that will destroy the world. Hydrogen fusion bombs have been around for ages and America did use one against Japan in WWII. Unless this particular device is super uber mega powerful i doubt we will die soon lol As it is experimental it would prob be very small.
that's pretty amazing. i wonder if this technology could be used in the event that the sun dies sooner than expected. i know it's not meant to be before a few billions of years, but you never know!
