chinese people seem to eat a lot of weird things.. and have built a name for it.. but personally, i think its disgusting eating an animals penis and internal organs.. i have a theory - anything that tastes good is not healthy (but this may just apply to me =P)
nothing wrong with eating whatever takes your fancy. A lot of these foods that people turn their noses up at are actually a lot healthier then teh crap we eat. A handful of worms cooked still has more proten and less fat than a burger. Neen reading a book which describes weird and wonderful recipes and I was drooling at the descriptions of fried locusts and ostrich etc.
^^^ not true....the native Aluets in Alaska LOVES the eyeballs of the seals. They treasure that part the most....says it's like ice cream to them...especially to the kids-sick2
there is a saying in chinese. Anything that has it's back on to the sky, it is edible and i believe tha chinese would eat it. Dogs and Cats are a norm and insect are normal. I seen people eat rotten meat raw and i thing that is gross. That person that ate it was a white guy and he purposely rot all his food and ate it everyday for 20 years. Now that's gross.
There's a restaurant in Beijing that specializes in penises of all kinds: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/from_our_own_correspondent/5371500.stm Not fear factor, more like gag factor. I'll pass. -nono Ralph
well.. anyhow.. u never see fobby chinese on fear factor... there's gotta be a reason behind that u dont' want someone that just scarfs it down like it's nothing.. that'd ruin the tv show
I think it's in the South that exotic restaurants exist most, not sure though. In Beijing, there's everything because there's lots of waidi ren nowadays, but I've personally never seen a penis restaurant in Beijing LOL. That BBC foreign devil is a moron, probably wanted to make us look bad haha. But in the Northeast I know that there are many ethnic Korean restaurants that serve dog meat... Chinese people don't eat everything, dunno where people got this from...
haha i definately wouldn't eat anything bugs... as for asian foods, I don't like eating sea cucumbers. they just look like giant worms. another is chicken/duck feet.
I ate a dog before. I threw up after I found out. My father tricked me into thinking that it was chicken...
that was back then, plus most people now are not to fond of eaching cochrouches, but then again, what do i know.
