My English name is a Mandarin translation of my Chinese name...the good think is, it's easy to pronounce however it doesn't sound a thing like my Chinese name just because ppl don't use the correct intonation. I'm used to it, so it really doesn't matter English or Chinese. But I think Chinese is a bit more intimate because my family calls me by that name.

    What's your chinese name?

People call me by my different names: Devil, Satan, Beelzebub, Loki, Apollyon, Beherit, Haborym, Mania, O-Yama or Yen-Lo Wang. ;)

Neh, I only have a Chinese name and two English nicknames I only use on the Internet. Glad my name can only be pronounced in one way, so people won't make mistakes there.

(Don't bother to ask my name btw...)

    doing the first post comment...

Yeah, I totally agree with you Susie, like my eng name is totally different than my chinese. Not even remotely the same. Few ppl know my chinese name, and i mostly go by my eng name...but at least you get called your chinese name. I don't.

i dont think anyone has every called me by my chinese name, even my chinese school teacher called me by my english name, though some retard people< ignorant white and black folk> think its a literal pinyin of my chinese name. but my family say my name with a chinesy accent so its sounds as if it is chinese.

I like the pinyin of my chinese name most. The sound of the chinese name is okay but it's too common. My english name is just plain weird but everyone call me using that...

I don't like my English name because it's too common, but I'd rather be called that because I don't like my Chinese name.

a name is a name, we should all have tradition and be proud of our name no matter if its english or chinese
