umm its that bread thats deep frieds hella oily. dip it in the jook. but its hella fat >< taste good though! i ate some pepper or he grey stuff and also some of the green stuff. im bad at naming foods lmao.-chef
sorry....cant help you since i dont really know how to cook....but i love congee...and any kind of congee is just so dam good
since you're from london, go to either sainsbury or tesco and get some flaked rice, and boil that in hot water, only a small amount really with a 3 bowls of water.... (suppose depends on thick u like it) and just stir - congee the easy way lol
i made congee heaps of times... just put a bit of rice in HEAPS of boiling water n boil/simmer for 2 hours or so...
^ ahhh plain congee aint too tasty unless u put lots of soy sauce in it lol come on what are the secret ingredients, i always see those round dried things they put in, dried scallops?
I like restaurant flavored congee but I usually eat my mom's home made congee. I don't know how to make it though. I plan to learn eventually. ^^

i enjoy eating them because my mum cooks a very delicious porridge... it goes well with oyster or seafood such as fish
i eat congee for breakfast every saturday and all you do is but water and raw rice and boil for 40 mins lol
its easy to make aand good. one of my favorits is to boil lobster or shrimp, take the water and then cook the rice. add 100 year old egg and eat
I only eat congee when Im sick. Haha. But there was once when I went to HK, I tried the congee there and it was fabulous. Hope to be there again for the congee. :0)
