Converted rmvb into avi and there's no sound

    I think we have provided enough options already to keep the TS busy. For all we know maybe the problem is solved, but he/she didn't bother to provide some feedback.

    I actually had the same issue. It had to do with an update with real media player. The update changed some codecs, which weren't compatible with winavi.

    updating your codecs solved the problem for me. hopefully it will do the same for you, if you haven't already solved the problem.

    Ya, maybe it's not about the converting. Maybe you media player doesn't support avi format.
    I usually use:
    [HIDE]www.zamzar.com[/HIDE]
    an online converter.

    the k-lite codecs will install real alternative codec and i use my wmp to view my rmvb files now...and no other codec installations req when you convert with winavi 10
