  1. hahaha.. PWND! not for card theft.. but mommy taking away your card.. -rotfl

    Actually I was victim of card theft.. plus someone had some of my info tried to change the account.. but luckily the bank contacted me right away n got things sorted out. Wasn't out of the country.. just out of state.. but still pretty scary..

    you wouldn't think stuff like this would happen to u.. but now gotta be more cautious when buying things..

    it's nice to see credit card companies stepping up and taking action on fraudulent charges. I use to handle charge backs for a company; worst thing ever. Credit card companies didnt care back then. all they did was charge the cardholder and if they complained, they'll ask the store for the money. so disputes went back and forth. so you can imagine how pissed off everyone got eventually. consider yourself lucky that they caught it.

    Noe, you're not the only one that's happened too. A few weeks ago I got dinged for a random purchase in a different State. I called the CC company to have my card cancelled and apprently there's a way for someone to mess around with the card readers so that a random CC number is used. It was a pain in the ass, had to wait a week for a new CC and I had to talk to the CC's fraud investigation bureau.

    well agreed, but the faster way to build credit is with the credit card since those are larger purchases whereas mobile phone or utility bills are way smaller purchases, build up of credit score will be slow

    you might not be able to see it happening, the card center might have received transactions of someone trying to use your card but unsuccessful; example: you card was used by some1 elsewhere trying a random pin and got un-approved, this way your bank will see that transaction and with multiple tries, they "might" see it as the irregular transactions;
