    lesson 1: don't speed
lesson 2: if u do speed, don't get caught :p
lesson 3: if u do get caught, don't pull over!!

    they can't fine u if they can't catch u =D
    ahhaha

and thats cheap... in terms of fine price...
its like 350 for running a red light here >.<
i didn't run the red tho... lol

I can't imagine you saying this if you (yourself) have gotten a speeding ticket in the past. Anybody would try to fight it, no matter how low the chances of winning are: it's always better to go to court instead of automatically paying the fine and have your insurance premium increased.

If you are lucky, they won't find out. ie: my fam had to renew our insurance not that long ago, and they did a check on all of us. They were able to pull up my history which included 1 speeding and another misc offense; whereas my bro got a few speeding ones, but the insurance didn't find anything on him so in the end, i had to become second driver and STILL get insurance jacked up. So hopefully your offense would not be recorded into the system.

i havent been caught speeding before

but i wouldnt fight it if they had caught me and i was speeding at the time, and thats the honest truth

i mean here, if you were speeding and you were caught fair and square, then your more likely to get more points and a higher fine, when the judge decides your wasting their time because you have no defence

i have read countless posts by bikers on forums saying how can they fight etc etc and everyones opinion is always the same, if you were caught fair and square, suck it up, take it like a man, and then learn from it

hey, maybe its a lot easier to get away with it over where you guys are -shrug

you'll only get letter through the post if you was speeding around main roads with cctvs...
if you are in an estate or something and they catch you speeding but didnt get the chance to see your plate and you hide properly... you wont get the ticket lol if you drive off lol

    i don't really believe that
cos its their word against urs...
if they had a foto taken from liek a fixed camera
    then its a diff issue

tho wen they chase u and u start putting distance on them
wen they start calling in for backup and helicopters... u mite haf a lil issue... ahahah

mite just have to do that fast n furious thing driving into big shed :p

lol "your word against theres" doesnt work here! any judge will trust a cops word over yours period, unless you have some super high price lawyer who will get you off on a technicality

plus any traffic cop will have cameras in their cars recording everything

the only time you will ever get away from speeding and running from a cop is if you happen to be doing 140mph+ and the cop knows he has no chance in catching you, which is usually reserved for high power bikes or very fast cars. most traffic police have uncover high power bmws and even known a undercover aston martin just to catch speeders

plus why would you risk a "failing to stop" charge on top of speeding

LOL... I really can't believe that so many people here have such little regard for the law and more importantly, traffic safety. Speed limits are designed to save lives and prevent injuries, for the general public. I'm sure that every driver out there thinks that it should not apply to them personally, but that's simply ridiculous. An argument of, "...it's their word against your's" despite the fact that one already knows oneself to be guilty of speeding, is mind boggling. Where's the sense of right and wrong? Or does the world's rules only apply to everyone else, but not to us as specific individuals? That's simply a ridiculous proposition.

Additionally, a lot of those television cop chase shows only ever portray criminals being caught, or crashing, but somehow miraculously walking away. They don't ever show the ones of the speeder decapitating or truncating himself, or running over and killing a bunch of kids. :wtf:

Personally, I just wish for once, that the police use armed helicopters, and upon a initiation of a highway chase, abruptly stop it with a long chain gun burst or missile that totally disintergrated the vehicle and all the occupants; nothing left but a smoldering wreck with a few bloody stains. I bet if something like that was possible, the high speed chase would swiftly become a thing of the past. -what?

  20. they slowed down the traffic, implying there was a car in front of me <_<

i could have sworn i wrote that there was a car in front of me that slowed down, ordered by the cop, to slow me down, somewhere... maybe in a wrong thread.
