it sucks that people appreciate departed more than infernal affairs. but it is departed that copied infernal affairs and it should deserve the credit instead.
God... the stupidity is unreal Infernal Affairs were great movies, and the departed was BS compared to the real thing... Cant believe it even won an oscar...
people who've seen the original obviously has a bias towards The Departed. I myself am quite dissappointed. I knew exactly what was going to happen even though they did change some parts .. and basically compressed all 3 Infernal Affairs into one movie. But yea, the Oscar quoting it a Japanese movie ... very disappointing. Someone should complain and get them to announce a formal appology.
I still like the original trilogy; even though the second is a little weak. This also reminds me off WorldCup 2006 when an American sportscaster called that pretty dude, Michael Beckham.
you know, this is just a stepping stone of the american world really getting in to Asian films i mean i bet alot of japanese people had a TON of complaints about the remakes for the grudge movies we have to go though this rough time, to represent ourselves like how the freshly immigrated people had to a hundred years ago if they didn't go through that hardship, would the ABC and CBC of today live such a comfortable life?
