Why does it matter whether or not the boy is gay? His sexuality has nothing to do with anything. The poor boy was neglected, mistreated, and not to mention abused by his parents as a child. Obviously he's not going to be capable of growing up NORMAL like you and I. Anyway, even though I can totally sympathize with his manager's point of view, I still think that Jay has a right to know about the situation. Whether or not he wants to go visit the boy is something that should soley be up to him. I don't think his visiting would encourage more fans to commit similar acts to get his attention because people who are willing to do that kind of stuff are usually ones who suffer from emotional/psychological disorders (such as what this boy is suffering from).
That's so sad- but I think Jay should visit him... Then again, it might give other crazies an idea...

I agree, Jay should be informed about the situation and at least try to help as it's someone's life we're talking about. However, I think a better way to approach this tricky situation would be by phone/video call as he'll be able to speak to the guy directly and offer him advice, far more effective than a card in my opinion. And if done correctly, it would arouse little or no media attention. The guy's had a very bad life, hope everything works out well.
