Got my Chinese name first. But when I moved outta Chinatown and into a more urban area, I picked an English name so peers would have an easier time calling me in kindergarten.

Uhmmm, let's see. My grandma from my dad's side named me a Chinese name, then my dad gave me an English name.

I kinda would liked it if my parents had an English name to match my Chinese one.

i'm not 100% sure but i think is english name first cause my mum was staying at a family friend's place during that period and after i was born that family friend gave me that name... my engish name is nothing related to my chinese name.

I think "most" Chinese family would give their children Chinese name first. In my family, my male cousin and I have the same middle word in our name. It shows that we are from the same generation on our family tree.

I picked my own English name when I was in grade 3 or something :)..
