My parents just gave me a Chinese name first, one that has significant meaning to it. Then they chose an English name that represented a similar meaning. So my Chinese and English names are similar in that they have the same meanings, though of course, they both sound differently.

I don't have an English name, just a Chinese name. I never really thought about giving myself an English name either.

Hey, my name is Linda. :D LMAOS

Well, anyways ... I honestly don't know if my parents gave me my Chinese name first or my English name first. I truly have no idea. o_o LOLS But I don't really see a similar sounding in my Chinese and English names. Well, they sound a little smiliar but not much. =\

But I did ask my mom why they named me Linda. My mom says it's just a very easy name to call so my grandparents won't have trouble calling me by my name. HAHA Not to mention something like "Kathleen" or .. "Isabella" or whatever .. LOLS And my mom says it flows with my last name which I agree. LOLS

I actually don't know, but all my papers have an English and Chinese name. My parents might have decided on a Chinese name before I was born, but I know they gave me my English name when I was born.
